Baptismo

Oh what travesty hath befallen me on this morn

Such auspicious occasion I find my soul heavy

Much toil of wrought wrings my mind with

The latter of guesses

That which beats steadily midst my ribs

Is that which torments my laments

Shining in strife and strife alone shall not be

I wish only to be that key that set’s thy soul on fire

Ignited with a passion unquenchable until the end of our days

Oh to see you smile at me once more

Sweeter than the rain upon the flowers

I long for that smile

But I cannot take from you what you cannot give

Days hath passed and new hath arrived

And my charm is fading for I am unable to command that smile

But when it does Oh!

The clouds breaketh forth and the heavens open wide to see it

Far be it from me to stifle that kind of beauty

Too Many In A Row

To write...
Ahh, but to write.

The muse causes
The man writes
Should the muse cease,
Well, the man ceases.

Time and again
As often as a blotted moon
A new muse will arise
One worhty

Eventually,
Even every exciting event
Extinguishes existence
Only for new life to grow.

And alas, a literal dynasty
Cut off at the waist
By one writer to another
To end a writing streak.

Terrene Blue

Run away with me
Do not follow she
That which growls and snapps

Such luminescent shadows running amiably around
I shall not follow she
That which muffles and drones

Come with me to the vine tree
Where we can be safe from she
That which tramples and stifles

Do you hear it?
Can you hear it still?
Jumping from note to note
A forgotten happiness
Dancing from key to key

T'was it such a time ago when we were free from terrene woes
Were they always there
Did I just not notice

I will not give into this blue strife!

Cerulean sky

Take me away into your deep arms
Take me to a place where the wind has no name
Take me to a place where the world blurs

Beauty tis not but always will
Be that crulean sky always moving always still

A Charge

If thou hast squander'd years to grave a gem
Commission'd by thy absent Lord, and while
'Tis incomplete,
Others would bribe thy needy skill to them
Dismiss them to the street!

Should'st thou at last discover Beauty's grove,
At last be panting on the fragrant verge,
But in the track,
Drunk with divine possession, thou meet Love
Turn at her bidding back.

When round thy ship in tempest Hell appears,
And every spectre mutters up more dire
To snatch control
And loose to madness thy deep-kennell'd Fears
Then to the helm, O Soul!

Last; if upon the cold green-mantling sea
Thou cling, alone with Truth, to the last spar,
Both castaway,
And one must perish let it not be he
Whom thou art sworn to obey!

Beaute' Simple

What is love?
Let me speak frankly my darling girl
I will not spat lies of fairy tales
Or heavy laden you with all my romantic details
Which are as spontaneous as they are dangerous
Have no doubt
But believe me this
What I say now, right now, is true, and only for you

I promise you that if the time ever comes when God
Directs me to you, take a deep breathe
Because you are in for a few
Very interesting surprises

Imagine a very real world, with colors much akin to our own
Now imagine us in this world alone
Take a moment if you will to assault your mind with the smells of wildflowers
Then add that smell with that of an early morning rain shower
Mix in the feeling of standing on a mountain top
And then picture that all in a coffee shop

Which is where we might meet

I'll walk in, tired after a long days work
Only to catch a glimpse of the smallest smirk
Coming from the cross legged sunrise in the corner
Ordering my drink, and sitting down
When I begin to look around
To see an empty room
My mind starts to race, and my pulse begins to hasten
Because I just realized you might not be taken
And so hear I am alone with a heavenly creature
Casually I turn only uncover the main feature

Your eyes, your eyes, Good Lord they're alive
And in that one moment, the fear in me died
Because I saw, what I swore could not exist
There in your eyes

Now what to do?
I wouldn't dare cheapen a perfect moment with words spoken to you
So instead I say not a word
But pray somehow that you heard
The sounds of the rain
Falling about my wildflowers

Death to Romeo

Why tis now, tis now

Is my flesh scorned?

Tis now, TIS NOW!

I am that empty rose

I am the fallow ash

I am the storm that people fear

What has tormented me, has become my alley

I will not succumb to this, maze

Yet, if not a maze, what was it then?

And even more, if not die for this, if not chase this chance of love, if not wait then what?

I have become a man feared by some

And loved by even less few

I am nothing more than the monster you turn your face to

My flesh is scored!

Be gone from me

I will lie in my rotting flesh

Just let me lie

Please, shed not a single tear for me

I couldn’t bare the sight

Alas, fear not, for I will imagine my way out of the catacombs of my mind

You dear are living proof I can trick my mind into anything,

Even love

And please do not pity me,

Rather think of me as dead

For that is how you will it to be

So now I must be the emissary who watches from a distance

Behind my mask, making sure you are safe

Such a drama is it not?

The only thing to complete this charade would be for you

To fall in love with this mask

And for me to decline, knowing the pain it would cause you

To see this scorned flesh.
